The Daily Man-Up: The Mindset You Need to Talk to Any Woman
(photo: @all_who_wander)
The fear that holds you back doesn’t have to
Most men tell me they don’t approach for three main reasons:
- You feel you’re doing something wrong or shameful. You don’t want to creep a girl out or make her feel like you’re hitting on her. You don’t want to bother her. You’re worried what your friends, her friends, or people nearby might think.
- You don’t know what to say. You can’t seem to find the right words. You feel like you don’t know how to approach without something really cool or engaging to say.
- You’re worried about being rejected. You don’t want to face that moment when she shows you she’s not interested. Maybe you think she might even be harsh or disgusted.
But what if I could make all these hurdles disappear?
It starts by understanding all these problems are bullshit and don’t have to exist. They’re only real because of the way you view talking to new women.
Let me give you some examples. You’ve probably even been in situations similar to the following:
What if you got lost somewhere and had to get to an important appointment? You look around and the only person who can help you is a beautiful girl. You would likely ask for her help without hesitation.
What if you overheard a girl next to you talking about one of your favorite bands? Is there a good chance you’d get excited to tell her how you’ve seen them twice and they were incredible live?
Imagine you saw an attractive woman fall down on the street and she dropped her things. You probably wouldn’t hesitate to help her and make her feel better about it.
So really, you’re not always afraid of approaching attractive women because in the right context, you’d talk to them. That’s the missing piece to all of this.
The “conquest” mindset is the root of your struggles
The real issue is that when you see a girl you want to talk to, you’re subconsciously trying to win her approval.
You want her to like you in the same way that you find her attractive. Which deep down, also means you’re thinking about her in a sexual way.
That mindset causes all this anxiety. When you’re approaching a woman as just a conquest, of course you’re going to feel like you’re doing something shady!
It makes you feel like a predator. It makes you feel like you’re trying to coerce or manipulate a girl into wanting you.
Then inherently, you’re going start thinking of manufactured lines to achieve that goal because you’re not in the moment organically trying to connect. This further makes you feel disingenuous and like a fraud.
Finally, you’re going to be overwhelmed by the fear of rejection because that’s the only thing that matters with your current mindset.
So you need to change your intentions to fix your mindset.
In those earlier scenarios when you weren’t worried about saying hi to a girl, getting approval wasn’t your primary goal. You were trying to CONNECT with her.
You just needed help. Or you were trying to help. Or you were so damn enthusiastic about meeting someone with a commonality you didn’t hesitate.
In those moments, you’re being a normal human being so there’s nothing to feel bad about.
You can utilize those same intention to connect to proactively meet women. But you can’t pretend to be there for more than her approval, you actually have to feel that way.
You need to FEEL like going up to this girl is healthy and a positive experience for both of you.

How A Selfie Saved A Texas Man From 99 Years In Prison
Christopher Precopia was going about his day while working in a lumber yard on September 22, 2017, when he was arrested. Precopia didn’t have a clue as to what his charges were until later on — he was accused of breaking into a woman’s home in Temple and slicing an “X” onto her chest with a box-cutter. This woman happened to be an old high-school girlfriend’s of Precopia’s, one whom he hadn’t communicated with in years.
Precopia was eventually held at Williamson County Jail on charges of burglary of a habitation with the intent to commit other crimes. He was released after having posted $150,000 bail. Still, Precopia was in a world of trouble, and insisted that he was innocent of the crime which he was being accused of.
“I had no idea why everything was happening, and I was lost,” he recalled.
Fortunately for Precopia, he had evidence on his side. His accuser claimed that the incident had happened on September 20, 2017, at 7:20 pm. Conflicting with her story were selfies that Precopia had taken with his mother and loved ones at a hotel in Northwest Austin, an entire 65 miles from the accuser’s home. These pictures were posted to Facebook, and timestamps and geo-location showed that it would be impossible for Precopia to have committed the crime he was accused of. His mother, Erin, recounted her thought process during this tumultuous time.
“I’m thinking, ‘this is awesome. By the grace of God, she said it happened on the day when I can say totally, 100 percent, where he was at,’” she shared.
As for the authorities involved, they agreed that the selfies were a solid alibi for Precopia.
“Most of the time, we deal with gray matters,” revealed attorney Rick Flores. “It’s not normally black or white. But this is one of those cases where I could definitely prove he did not commit this offense.”
Flores was able to get the charges dropped “in the interest of justice” nine months later — after presenting the evidence. Other authorities involved admitted that this case was not handled the way that it should have been. Typically in these cases, the suspect should be interviewed to see if he has an alibi before moving to arrest him. Phone records showed that Precopia had returned a call to the police station — and had even left a message — but was still arrested anyways
“You may not get any more information than you had, but it gives you an opportunity for the suspect to react, respond, deny,” said Bruce Mills, a former Austin assistant police chief and policing consultant. “Certainly a case where the suspect appeared to be available, it would be more step [sic] you could take.”
Temple Police have not owned up to mishandling the case, but Bell County District Attorney Henry Garza stated that the police “are always willing to listen and examine new information.”
It turns out the woman reported that Precopia assaulted her solely due to their dramatic high school relationship. Propecia is looking forward to leaving that relationship — and the entire incident — in the past.
“I’m ready to actually live my life, the way I want to, without having any kind of worry that this can come back and hurt me,” he said.

The Daily Man-Up: It Would Be A Tragedy To Never Face Adversity In Life
(photo: @timmarshall)
No man is more unhappy than he who never faces adversity. for he is not permitted to prove himself. ~ Seneca
In our society, it’s the man who is born into wealth who is viewed as being blessed with a gift that he did not have to earn. But it is the man born into much adversity who is given the greatest gift of all: the gift to test his mettle, to prove his worth, to see what he is, indeed, made of.
It’s while this man is facing obstacle after obstacle that, if he so chooses, will acquire far more grit and toughness than his counterpart who’s faced little in the way of tribulation.
Great men aren’t always the ones we read about in history books. They’re often the men who faced life as men, who refused to refuse responsibility, who took what was coming on their feet and made the lives of those around them not only better, but possible.
Our society judges success numerically. It’s normally what a man’s done or what he’s acquired that we judge him on. The true value of a man, however, isn’t found in his bank account or on his property, but within him. It’s difficult to explain the importance of this fact because everywhere you go and everyone you talk to will likely judge you on the former rather than the latter. But it’s their judgment that you cannot fret over nor take to heart.
There are bigger things at play than we realize. As death becomes your next adventure, it won’t be the things you buy nor the land you hold that will bring you happiness, pride, or contentment, it’s the mouths you’ve fed, the honor you’ve upheld, and the people you’ve defended that will bring you solace and peace.
The man with things to his name and numbers in his estate may have meaning, too, but only if he lives a life filled with adversity and struggle, obstacles, fears faced, and battles won. The man who lives a life without turmoil and in complete ease and peace, devoid of adversity and struggle, cannot call himself a man, nor know what he’s made of, nor proclaim that he has truly lived.

Kenyan Official: Homosexual Lions Learned It From “Copying” Gay Tourists
(photo: @aboeka)
Two lions spotted in a gay sexual encounter must have seen a homosexual couple “behaving badly” in their park and should be separated and given counselling, an official in Kenya said.
The animals were photographed after one mounted the other in a secluded bush area of the Masai Mara game reserve in the south-west of the African country.
Ezekial Mutua, the chief executive of the Kenya Film Classification Board, said the pair must have been influenced after they viewed a human same sex couple
He said that if that wasn’t the case, the only other explanation is “the devil”.
Mutua wasn’t finished there either. He went on to say that the lions would need counselling to “cure them” of their homosexuality.
The official made the comments on social media and he has received backlash over his “idiotic” views.
He said: “These animals need counselling, because probably they have been influenced by gays who have gone to the national parks and behaved badly.
“I don’t know, they must have copied it somewhere or it is demonic. Because these animals do not watch movies.”
“Some research needs to be done. And also I wish I [could confirm] the two lions were actually male, because it is not normal.
“I mean where on earth have you ever heard something like this happening. The demonic spirits inflicting in humans seems to have now caught up with the animals.
“That is why I will say isolate the crazy gay animals, study their behaviour because it is not normal.”
Mutua is the head of the Kenyan Film Classification Board and recently banned a Disney show because it featured a gay character.
He told Nairobi News: “Any attempt to introduce gay programming in Kenya will be met with the full force of the law.”

70-Year-Old Man Robs A Bank In Hopes Of Going To Jail In Order To Avoid Living With His Wife Of 33 Years
A 70-year-old man charged with robbing a Kansas City, Kan., bank said he did it because he preferred a jail cell over living with his wife.
According to court documents, Ripple handed a teller a note that read, “I have a gun, give me money.”
After the teller handed him nearly $3,000 in cash, Mr Ripple waited in the lobby for police to arrive.
When a bank security guard approached him, Ripple told the guard, “I’m the guy you’re looking for.”
The guard took the money from Ripple and held him until police arrived, which wasn’t long, because Kansas City, Kan., police headquarters is on the same block.
When he was questioned later by investigators, Ripple told him that he and his wife had argued and he “no longer wanted to be in that situation.”
“Ripple wrote out his demand note in front of his wife … and told her he’d rather be in jail than at home."
Update:
Mr Ripple has been sentenced to six months house arrest as his punishment due to his mental health.
Mr Ripple had multiple bypass heart surgery in 2015 and suffered from depression that, according to lawyers, went undiagnosed.
Prior to the robbery, he lived a normal, law-abiding life as a husband and stepfather to four children. His public defender called the robbery a “cry for help”.
At the sentencing trial Mr Ripple said he had sought medical help for his mental health and said he “feels like his old self”.
The vice president of the bank and the teller both supported a request for leniency for Mr Ripple given his mental health state. It is incredibly rare for someone who commits a bank robbery not to be sentenced to prison and Mr Ripple’s sentence could have faced up to 37 months per local law.
He will also serve three years of supervised probation and must do 50 hours of community service. Mr Ripple was ordered to pay $227.27 to the bank, which represents the billable hours for bank employees sent home on the day of robbery. He is also required to give $100 to a crime victims fund.
