Sam Tageson was told for years that he would never play hockey. On Tuesday, he took the ice with the San Jose Sharks. With the help of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Sharks Foundation, Tageson, a 17-year-old born with a heart condition called hypoplastic left heart syndrome, signed a one-day contract with his favorite team.
Tageson practiced with the Sharks at morning skate, suited up for their game against the Florida Panthers and shared a truly emotional moment with his new teammates when he was introduced on the Jumbotron.
Our hats off to a classy organization….damn allergies, must be affecting my eyes early this year.
