Every Warm Blooded Male Should Know How To Properly Cook A Steak
My Steak
This is my steak. There are many like it, but this one is mine. Dry-aged prime Porterhouse.
Season Well
I like a shit-ton of salt and pepper, and no I don’t mind the flavor of pepper when it’s been cooked and yes, I salt my steak at least 45 minutes in advance to give time for the juices to get drawn out and reabsorbed
Sear
Hot cast iron skillet with smoking hot oil. People may tell you to flip only once. They are wrong. Flip as many times as you’d like. The more you flip, the more evenly your steak will cook.
Half way there
About half way through cooking. I add butter, thyme, and shallots, then continue to cook, flipping frequently.
Baste
That damn t-bone gets in the way of proper browning, so to get the bits of meat near it all nice and crusty, I use a spoon to baste it with hot melted butter.
Get the edges
I get the edges to crisp up the fat
Rest
Gotta let the sucker rest at least 5 to 10 minutes to keep it nice and juicy. DIG IN.

How to Avoid the Friendzone: Conveying Sexual Intent Early On
Hey guys.
This is an important topic that I believe is a sticking point for many of you guys. I’m here to share a simple hack that you can do to help you qualify women, and help them see you as a potential sexual partner and not just a friend.
Conveying Sexual Intent
If you can convey that you are interested in her physically early on, you can establish a sexual frame. Think of a sexual frame as the lens that she sees all further communication through. It makes it clear that you are looking for a sexual partner and not just a friend.
Direct game is one way of doing this. You guys probably have heard this before.
Example: "Hi, I had to stop you. You’re absolutely stunning. What’s your name?"
But I want to show you a simple hack that you can work into your approach, no matter what style of game you run, to set a sexual frame and build sexual tension.
I have two versions I use that work well.
Version 1: "You’re My Type"
This one is simple. Just mention off the cuff that one of the girls you’re talking to is your type. I like, "I’m really glad you’re cool because you’re totally my type." This plants the idea of you two ending up together in her mind. Make sure to say it slowly, deliberately, with strong eye context. Touch the small of her back if you can. Make sure she sees you’re not just saying it randomly, but that you actually mean it. Afterwards, continue with your conversation like normal.
Version 2: Physical Compliment
After you’ve opened, but within the first few minutes of conversation, give her a compliment on her looks. (It’s important to note, do not do this as the opener unless you plan to run direct game and know what you’re doing.)
I like to hold her hand for a bit during the introduction handshake, look her in the eye and say "You’ve got such soft skin." Pause for effect. Resume conversation like normal.
You can say anything that conveys that you find her physically hot. "Your eyes are absolutely stunning." or I even have been using "It has to be said, I fucking love your cleavage."
Honestly, it doesn’t matter as long as you make it clear you see her as a potential sexual mate.
I know this seems redundant because YOU already know you have sexual intent, but girls decide early on whether you’re going into the friend pile or the sexual mate pile. Make sure she knows which pile you’re going into.
There it is. Simple as pie. Convey sexual intent no more than a few minutes into your approach and watch your friendzone/flake rate drop dramatically.

A No Nonsense Guide To Helping You Make Your First Million Dollars
I know $1M isn’t the same as it used to be, but it’s a goal I set 10+ years ago for myself, so it’s nice to finally reach it. Nor was this overnight. It’s been a long, slow grind.
I didn’t come from money. Quite the opposite, as only one parent graduated high school and we sometimes lived paycheck to paycheck. (I remember a few drives with my mom to pay the electrify bill & get the lights turned back on.) I graduated college with >60-70k in debt. ( in today’s dollars, adjusted for inflation, it would be ~90k.)
I’ve learned a lot about money the hard way and a made lot of mistakes over the years. But I stuck with it, and figured each time, it was simply the price of learning each lesson. One of the great things is that I’ll be able to pass those lessons on to my kids (hopefully).
I also find that I’m motivated by others success stories, so I thought I’d share mine.
Even if you’re in the hole, hang in there. You may not get rich over night, but with persistance, you’ll get there!

Avoid debt. Especially credit card debt. I took a long time to learn this one. Credit cards are fine if you can pay the balance off (in fact, can be a good way to earn miles), but if you can’t afford it without using a credit card, you can’t afford it. Period.

Live below your means. Obvious, but the less you spend, the more you can spend.

Save automatically. Have your savings automatically transfered from your checking account to a savings account. For me, seeing a large balance at the ATM makes me less careful with money, so I try to keep it to what I think I can spend.

Look at ways to get "free" money. Passing on free money sounds crazy, but that’s what I tell friends they’re doing if they aren’t investing in their 401k, especially when there’s an employer match to be had.

Be mindful of taxes! Invest in your Roth IRA & 401k early! When I was in my young 20s, it hurt to contribute to them, but thanks to compound interest, I’m glad I did.

Avoid trying to out smart the market. (Something else I had to learn) I generally don’t own an individual funds. A low cost index fund is your friend. I can’t brag to friends about buying a stock low & selling high, but who cares? I invest to have more money, not stories. Read "A Random Walk Down Wall Street" and you’re set.

Discuss your compensation openly with a close set of friends, especially if they work in similar fields. These are people you want to see do well, not really compete with. Your attitude should be whenever anyone in group does well, that’s great (not jealousy). It can be a big help. You’ll feel more confident asking for larger comp. (either in a new job or a raise) if you know others are getting.

Learn to negotiate. This was also really hard for me. I hate negotiating, especially when it came to things like job offers. But I had a choice: Decide I didn’t want to do it & accept I would get paid less, or suck it up & try to get paid more. I’m glad I started to do the latter. This is also where the group of friends above can help. Being in the middle of negotiation is hard. Have people with your best interest at heart, but nothing for them immediately at stake, really helps with objectively, thinking things through, etc.
