Real bros don’t take advantage of their hardworking friends trying to make a living. Real bros try to help them out on their journey.
So today I tripped. Fell flat on my face, it was awful but ultimately harmless. My service dog, however, is trained to go get an adult if I have a seizure, and he assumed this was a seizure (were training him to do more to care for me, but we didn’t learn I had epilepsy until a year after we got him)
I went after him after I had dusten off my jeans and my ego, and I found him trying to get the attention of a very annoyed woman. She was swatting him away and telling him to go away. So I feel like I need to make this heads up
If a service dog without a person approaches you, it means the person is down and in need of help
Don’t get scared, don’t get annoyed, follow the dog! If it had been an emergency situation, I could have vomited and choked, I could have hit my head, I could have had so many things happen to me. We’re going to update his training so if the first person doesn’t cooperate, he moves on, but seriously guys. If what’s-his-face could understand that lassie wanted him to go to the well, you can figure out that a dog in a vest proclaiming it a service dog wants you to follow him
Inkjet ink is exceptionally expensive and priced that way because the company’s got you where they want you by selling you a cheap printer. Laser printers use toner which is more expensive to replace, but lasts longer. Inkjet ink dries out when it’s not used and is wasted. Kinda like running the engine on a car when it’s not being driven.
As for photos, many people have pointed this out and it’s a valid concern. Many laser printers do an excellent job on photos and they’re getting better, but ink is still king. You still have options.

Make sure the college you plan to transfer to will actually accept your credits. Do this by going to that college with a list of the community college courses, and asking which will be transferred.
If you don’t do this, half or more of your community college credits may not be accepted.
If you have a bunch of cash sitting in a savings account making 0.03% interest, you are losing ~2% of your money every year. Invest it, put it in a CD that matches or beats inflation, etc.

One man is on a mission to mow lawns for those in need in all 50 states. His goal isn’t really about lawn care — it’s about letting people know he cares about them.
Every time Rodney Smith Jr. visits a new state, he sends out the same Tweet: “If you know of anyone who is elderly, disabled, a single mother or a veteran who needs their lawn mower let me know. It’s free.”
Smith is the founder of Raising Men Lawn Care Service, a lawn care nonprofit he launched in his hometown of Huntsville, Alabama. Raising Men Lawn Care Service helps young people give back to their communities. The kids in the program visit people in need and help them with their yard work. They mow people’s lawns, shovel show, rake leaves and more — free of charge.
Then he came up with “The 50 Yard Challenge”, which challenged kids across the country to mow 50 lawns for people in need. The kids join by posting a photo of themselves on social media with a sign that says they accept the 50 Yard Challenge, and then they get to work.
Smith wanted to complete the challenge himself, but he raised the stakes. He challenged himself to the “50 Yards in 50 States Challenge.”
However, Smith is not limiting himself to one yard per state.
Smith says starting this charity has showed him his true passion in life: to help people. He’s also hoping to start a scholarship program for the kids who complete the challenge and continue to do well in school, according to CBS News.

A woman in San Francisco called the police on an 8-year-old girl selling water outside her apartment building.
In a video shared to Instagram by “Ladyesowavy,” the unidentified woman can be seen stalking away from the child, cell phone pressed to her ear. At one point, she even tries to duck out of view, but a voice behind the camera warns her, “The whole word is gonna see you, boo.”
The woman justified her phone call to authorities, accusing the 8-year-old of “illegally selling water without a permit.”
Video of the interaction — was paired with a caption noting that “selling water in the front of her apartment building where she’s lived her whole life is NOT a reason to call the police.”
In an interview with NBC’s “Today” show, Alison Ettel said she was frustrated with the commotion coming from the sales on the sidewalk outside her building while she was working. She said she didn’t call authorities to report the girl, who was identified as Jordan, but wanted to inquire about the legality of selling water without a permit where the mother and daughter were positioned along the street.
“I want the little girl to know that it’s not her fault,” Ettel told the “Today” show. “I want the mother to know this was nothing to do with race at all. It had everything to do with the disturbance. I was very stressed out. I definitely made comments that I never would have in any other situation, and it’s not an excuse.”
It wasn’t immediately clear what happened before the video began capturing the exchange. The confrontation started after Ettel said she heard commotion coming from the water bottle sales happening outside.

The Belgian Blue’s sculpted, heavily muscled, bodybuilder-like appearance is known as “double-muscling”. The condition is heritable and results from an increased number of muscle fibers (hyperplasia) rather than the normal enlargement of individual muscle cells (hypertrophy).
The increased muscle tissue is due to a natural mutation in a gene that is involved in muscular hypertrophy. This gene is responsible for the expression of a protein called myostatin (“myo” meaning muscle and “statin” meaning stop). You probably guessed it right, myostatin inhibits muscle growth. Essentially, the breed produces less myostatin and thus produces more muscle tissue than the average cattle. Furthermore, the same mutation apparently interferes with fat deposition, resulting in very lean meat.

I’m too tired. I don’t have the time. I am not capable. Someone else will do it. It’s too late now. Now is not the right time. I am not talented. I am not ready. I’m too scared. Nobody will help me. What if I fail. I don’t feel motivated. I’d rather do nothing. I don’t have the money..yet!
It’s easy to come up with excuses and justify not getting started. The longer you fill your head with rationalizations and empty excuses, the less time you have to take action.
It’s easy to say, “I will start when I have more experience, money, time and resources”. By this time next year, you will have a lot more excuses. It’s a cycle. And once you get caught in the loop, it, can be difficult to break free and do something meaningful you care about.
Many people are living their entire lives without ever standing up and stepping out. But it’s exciting to witness the rare few who dare themselves and step out of their personal bubbles to make a change.
Most of use live with the stubborn illusion that we will always have tomorrow to do today’s work. We consistently hold on to this belief and keep procrastinating until work becomes a heavy burden.
Left unchecked, we always default toward a more comfortable path. Your comfortable zone provides a state of mental security. You can understand why it’s so hard to kick your brain out of your comfort zone.
It pays to be an outlier!
“Outliers are those who have been given opportunities — and who have had the strength and presence of mind to seize them.” — Malcom Gladwell
Outliers are those who seize opportunities and run with them. People who realize how little time they have and are driven to make the absolute most of it. Those are the ones who really live.
Studies consistently show that when we look back on our lives the most common regrets are not the risks we took, but the ones we didn’t. Of the many regrets people describe, regrets of inaction outnumber those of action by nearly two to one.
Some of the most common include not being more assertive, and failing to seize the moment. When people reflect later in life, it is the things they did not do that generate the greatest despair. You can seize the moment today!
